Short description "Italian for food and specialties" is a course for professionals and consists of four morning lessons in a Standard language course, each day and private tutorials on the professional field on 4 afternoons per week.
Professional program in the afternoon
  • Private tutorials on Italian language of wine and food
  • Cultural characteristics of the Umbrian/Tuscan cooking
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil: recognizing products, understanding the oil-making process and tasting
  • Introduction to Umbrian wines and tasting
  • Lesson on the DOP and DOC protected regional food
Professional program for the additional week
  • Lesson on traditional Umbrian sweets
  • History of Italian food and cuisine
  • Truffles: history, using, legends and true stories, recognizing the “real truffle”
  • Chef demonstration in a truffle farm with final tasting
Notes
  • 4 lessons of group language course per day; 20 lessons per weeks
  • Private professional tutorials on 4 afternoons per week

Short description and Notes
An intermediate knowledge of Italian is suggested for those attending the professional courses.

 The professional courses consist of four lessons in a standard language course plus two private tutorials on the selected professional field, each day. You can choose among the following subjects:

  16. Company courses: Each sector within business has its distinct terminology. Experience has shown us that the demand to learn and use specific business jargon, in a foreign language, can dictate how successful a company can become. This is why we work in close liaison with the company in developing language courses covering their individual needs.

Transfers
The school offers a personalized transfer by taxi or bus for large groups, from all Italian airports and train stations, to your accommodation. The driver will meet the students at Arrival Lounge holding up a sign with “Lingua Più Scuola di Italiano”. At the enrolment time, if a pick up is requested, we will supply the driver’s mobile telephone number. Please note that you will be charged extra if your taxi or bus has to wait for you to arrive or your flight is delayed longer than 30 minutes.

If travel details are not available at the enrolment, please remember to send the school full details of your arrival: airport/station, date, time and flight number - at least 3 days before departure. On the contrary we can’t guarantee the pick up service.

Refunds
There is no reduction or refund for occasional absence, late arrival or early departure, public holidays or extended personal holidays. Fees are not refundable or transferable.
Booking cancellation terms:
15 days before date of arrival: no refund
From 16 to 29 days before date of arrival: 50% of the deposit will be returned
Cancellation within 30 days before date of arrival: 100% of the deposit will be refunded

Visa Information**
Citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA) have the right of free movement and residence in Italy. If you are not from a country mentioned above, please check whether you will need a visa by consulting your nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate.
If you require a visa in order to study in Italy, we strongly recommend that you apply very early for your course, as you may need several weeks to complete the application procedure. Before you can process the confirmation documents you need for a visa application, we must receive your deposit of €500,00 (deductible when you pay your fees).
